Product Overview
According to the literature from ancient times due to its proven properties Propolis has been used as a folk remedy. It has been about 2300 years since Propolis was used for the treatment of human diseases by Hippocrates (BC 460-370), the ancient Greek physician of the Age of Pericles (Classical Greece), and who is credited with coining the Hippocratic Oath, still relevant and in use today. He recommended the use of Propolis for the treatment of wound or ulcer. Also Aristotle (BC 384-322) who was a Greek philosopher and a beekeeper not only studied almost every subject possible at the time, but made significant contributions to most of them. In physical science, Aristotle studied anatomy, astronomy, embryology, geography, geology, meteorology, physics and zoology. He is known to have used Propolis for skin disease, boils, wounds and infections treatments. During Boar War Propolis was mixed with glycerin as propolisin and it was used to treat all kinds of injuries. Then propolis ointment has been used for radiation damage, inflammation, benign masses, burns, allergic reactions. It was also used for Atopy type of dermatitis. Currently it is being used for skin tumors, warts, skin, traffic injuries, acne, eczema and there are many studies on the treatment of athlete’s foot and it is known to be sovereign.
